  • 27/3: Chamber Music by Philippe Manoury

    The Hong Kong New Music Ensemble will present a portrait concert of chamber music by Philippe Manoury as part of the HKU MUSE concert series. In his capacities as both flautist and conductor, Angus Lee will present the Hongkong premières of Manoury’s Soubresauts (2020) for solo flute, as well as his Hypothèse du sextuor (2011) for ensemble.

  • 31/1: "Ivory Tower" by Jing Wang

    Angus Lee will be part of the world première of composer Jing Wang’s theatrical piece, Ivory Tower, commissioned by the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble as part of the ‘MUSIC\GAMING’ platform. Tickets now available via Art-Mate.

  • 22/1: Recital at Saint Francis University

    Alongside pianist Mark Hui, Angus Lee will present flute sonatas by Carl Reinecke and César Franck as part of Vantage Music’s lunchtime recital series at Saint Francis University.

  • CASH Golden Sail Music Award 2025

    Angus Lee has been conferred the 2025 CASH Golden Sail Award for his orchestral piece, … aux cendres (2024), commissioned and premiered by the Hong Kong Philharmonic under Elim Chan. The work was also featured at the 71st International Rostrum of Composers in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

  • "Inflections and Refractions."

    The revised version of Angus Lee’s sous rature (2017 / 2025) for violin & viola was premièred on 5th May 2025 by James Cuddeford (vln.) and William Lane (vla.) at the closing concert of the South China Contemporary Creative Music Institute in Guangzhou, China. The recording of the performance is now available.

    Angus Lee’s orchestral work, aux cendres (2024), has been selected for and presented at the 71st International Rostrum of Composers in Ljubljana, Slovenia in May 2025.
