Bled Contemporary Music Week 2027: residency fellow

Angus Lee has been selected as both composer and conductor to participate in the year-long residency programme, percept.concept.percept, organised by Inštitut .abeceda. He will develop a new work to be premièred at the 6th Bled Contemporary Music Week (2027) in Slovenia. He will also lead the premières of new works by fellow composers with the resident .abeceda ensemble.

This will be Angus Lee’s in-person début appearance in Slovenia. Previously, his orchestral work … aux cendres (2024) was featured at the 71st International Rostrum of Composers, held in Ljubljana.

Angus Lee has been selected for the residency programme alongside his HKU Department of Music colleague, composer Jing Wang.
