Angus Lee is one of Hongkong’s most versatile musicians, and is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (2010 – 14) and the Royal Academy of Music in London (2014 – 16); he has appeared at numerous international music festivals, most significantly at the renowned Lucerne Festival Academy, where he has performed at the Academy founder Pierre Boulez’s 90th Birthday Celebration Concert series (2015) and the composer’s memorial concert (2016).

Hong Kong New Music Ensemble’s flautist since 2016, Lee has presented the regional and world premieres of works by leading composers today. He has also led the Ensemble as conductor and composer in premièring his own works. Lee has also perform in recital series by organised Tai Kwun («Laundry Steps» lunchtime series),  CityU (Arts Festival 2021), LCSD («Our Music Talents» and «City Hall Virtuosi» series), HKU MUSE («Around Twilight» lecture demonstration series), as well as giving masterclasses at the HKU, the HKUST, and adjudicating at the 74th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

Angus Lee (LRAM) is currently HKU Music Department’s assistant lecturer, as well as HKAPA’s woodwind chamber music faculty (part-time). He is also Lucerne Festival Academy’s woodwind faculty (2022 - 23).
